In October of 2009, I opened up the first bellydance studio in the state of Mississippi.  As time went by I expanded upon what my studio offered by incorporating fitness classes, drumming classes and other world-dance style classes.  One of the most common requests I received from my students was to offer more fitness classes.  I figured that I could incorporate both dance and fitness at the same time by offering ZUMBA® fitness classes at my studio.

I became a licensed ZUMBA® Basics 1 instructor in early 2010 and soon after became a licensed ZUMBA® Basics 2 instructor, which focuses more on specialty rhythms such as bellydance, flamenco, tango & samba.   Over the last two years I have completed all of the instructor certifications, to include:  ZUMBA® Toning, ZUMBA® Gold, ZUMBA® Gold Toning, Aqua ZUMBA® & ZUMBATOMIC™.  I also recently attended the 2011 ZUMBA® Convention and had a total BLAST!  I must admit, I am "hooked" on ZUMBA® fitness! 

I recently relocated to Washington and had to take a break from ZUMBA® for several months while I got settled in.  I am VERY excited about getting back into the swing of things!  I love watching my students actually ENJOY working out and knowing that I am helping them reach their fitness goals!  If you hate the routine of going to the gym or working out, I encourage you to give ZUMBA® fitness classes a try!  ZUMBA® fitness classes really make excercising and improving your health FUN!
